My name is Kirsten Wilkinson. Twenty years ago, we bought a little farm in central New Hampshire. When we brought our first alpacas home, we decided to call the place Walking Softly Farm. Alpacas have incredibly soft fiber, of course, but they also have padded feet, like a dog, which means they don't tear up the turf like cows and horses. We also like to think that we "walk softly" on the Earth by using sustainable farming practices and just trying to keep a small footprint. Now, Walking Softly Farm has spawned Walking Softly Weaving!
